Guest of the book fair Svět knihy Praha 2024
The Mexican artist, based in Prague, works as a creator and illustrator of children’s books, as well as an entrepreneur and painter. Her artistic and illustration skills are largely self-taught. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international trade, another in finance and a master’s degree in administration. In her work, you can see the affection she has for her native country and its traditions, she tries to share it especially with the younger generation. Laura Elena also shows a particular interest in dyslexia, which is why she works on creating adapted texts for children with dyslexia so that they can enjoy reading. These books will be published by the Parangueo Media publishing house, of which she is a co-owner.
